A ballet school owned by the first Filipina prima ballerina,
The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet Manila.
Celebrating my 1st Anniversary at Ballet Manila - Donada Branch!
The dance that I have fallen in love at the age of four.
The dance that held my heart captive for almost 19 years.
The dance that helped me cope up with my occasional anxieties in life.
The dance that made everything in my life balanced.
Ballet

set of steps and gestures. Classical ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy
and established its present form during the 19th century,
is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements and the use of pointe shoes.
September 24, 2016
After doing some research of a ballet school near my college,
and after some encouragement from someone,
I finally took my first adult ballet class at Ballet Manila - Donada Branch.
The class was under the supervision of
Mr. Jonathan "Jay" Janolo,
Ballet Manila's ballet master.
Then I met, Jenny, my first classmate in ballet.
Starting from that day,
I made sure that I get to attend classes every Saturday of 2016.
Then, I get to meet another ballet classmate,
Maan, a transferee from another ballet school in Las Pinas.
Then, I also had a chance to be under
the supervision of these
amazing teachers at Ballet Manila:
Camille Santiago
Marika Anonuevo
Sofie Sangco-Peralta
Robert Peralta

Why I love Ballet Manila:
1. They have direct links to the Russian Ballet Academy of St. Petersburg, Russia.
2. They are using the Vaganova technique.
3. Owned and run by the first Filipina prima ballerina, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde.
4. Relatively cheaper tuition fee than other ballet schools.
Up to this day, I still dream to be a part of the Apprentice
or even, the Second Company dancers.
Lol!
I just hope and pray that when I get to have my first job,
my work won't stand in the way of my ballet class.
Before this post ends,
I'll be leaving you guys with this article...
*wink*
